Until now, leaving the remote programming port 3671 open meant leaving a gateway for cyber-attacks on the KNX installation.

Now, it is possible to protect the KNX installation by setting a password for secure device programming from ETS 5 / ETS 6 with the MTD gateway using port 3671.

The IP Interface enables the communication between the PC and the KNX / EIB system via LAN. The KNX IP Interface allows to programm the KNX bus via TCP / IP, 4 simultaneous connections possible.
