Salva KNX basic

Salva KNX TH and Salva KNX basic are smoke detectors with alarm for the KNX building bus system. The compact housing accommodates the sensors, the evaluation electronics and the bus coupling electronics.

The smoke detector has automatic analysis sensors that provide an early and reliable warning of a fire. Alarms are signalled as a local acoustic signal and as a bus notification. Salva KNX Basic reports a smoke alarm, Salva KNX-TH reports a smoke alarm and/or a temperature alarm.

AND and OR logic gates allow data and conditions to be connected. If required, multifunctional modules modify the input data by means of calculations, querying a condition or converting the data point type.

The Salva KNX TH model has additionally integrated temperature and humidity sensors. The measured values can be used to control limit-dependent switching outputs. The devices have PI controllers for heating/cooling (temperature-dependent) and for ventilation (humidity-dependent).

Functions:

- Smoke detector with alarm with optical detection according to the light diffusion principle, certified in accordance with EN 14604:2005/AC:2008 and 1172- CPR-150013.
Local acoustic alarm signal indication (alarm tone of at least 85 dB) and redirection to the KNX bus. Local alarm acknowledgement
- Smoke alarm message.
- Measurement of smoke chamber soiling and soiling indicator in accordance with UL directive.
- Battery power supply (9 V). Battery capacity reduction is signalled optically and acoustically for 30 days and sent to the bus.
- High operational safety through strict, automatic self-test of all electronic equipment and separate energy measurement.
- Fault signalling locally and via the bus.
- Reliable protection against false alarms thanks to a powerful measuring chamber and consideration of temperature fluctuations (but without smoke and temperature sensor).
- 8 AND logic gates and 8 OR logic gates with 4 inputs each. All switching events and the 16 logic inputs can be used as inputs for the logic gates in the form of communication objects. The output of each gate can be configured as 1 bit or 2 x 8 bits.

- 8 multifunctional modules (calculators) for modifying the input data by calculation, by querying a condition or by converting the data point type.
- 4 setpoint comparators for the output of minimum, maximum or average values. 5 inputs respectively for values received via communication objects.

- Thermal alarm message.
- Temperature sensor and humidity sensor with mixed value calculation, defrost point calculation, comfort field query (DIN 1946).
- Thresholds for measured and calculated values, adjustable per parameter or via communication objects.
