The Suntracer KNX sl light weather station for the KNX building bus system measures temperature, wind speed and brightness. It detects precipitation and receives the GPS signal for time and location. At the same time, the exact position of the sun (azimuth and elevation) is calculated with the site coordinates and time of day.
All values can be used to control limit-dependent switching outputs. The states can be linked via AND logic gates and OR logic gates. If required, multifunctional modules modify the input data by means of calculations, querying a condition or converting the data point type.
The integrated shading control enables intelligent control of the sun shading of up to five facades.
The compact housing of the Suntracer KNX sl light accommodates sensors, evaluation electronics and the bus coupling electronics.
Functions:
- - Brightness measurement (current light intensity).
- - GPS receiver with display of current time and location coordinates. At the same time, the Suntracer KNX sl light weather station calculates the position of the sun (azimuth and elevation).
- - Shading control for up to 5 facades
- - Wind measurement: The wind speed is measured electronically, silently and reliably, even in hail, snow and sub-zero temperatures. It also detects air turbulence and updrafts within the range of the device.
- range of the device
- - Precipitation detection: The sensor surface is heated, so that only drops and flakes are recognised as precipitation, but not mist or dew. If it stops raining or snowing, the sensor dries out quickly and the rain alarm stops.
- rain alarm stops
- - Temperature measurement
- - Frost protection for shading
- - Weekly timer and calendar: All time switching outputs can be used as communication objects. The weekly timer has 24 time intervals. Each time interval can be parameterised as an output or as an input. If the time period is an output, the switching time is determined by parameter or by communication object.
- The calendar timer has 4 time slots. For each time interval, two switching on/off times can be determined, which are carried out on a daily basis.
- - Switching outputs for all measured and calculated values. Limit values can be set via parameters or via communication objects.
- - 8 AND logic gates and 8 OR logic gates with 4 inputs each. As inputs for the logic gates, all events can be used from
